  • Moss was sliding off our tenement roof into the gutters every winter. They cleared the lot, took the gutters back to clean metal and treated the slates. First dry close in years.

  • Lead flashing round the chimney on our slate roof had lifted and the bedroom ceiling was marking. Surveyed it, priced it in writing, redressed the lead properly. No drama, no upsell.

    Craig B., Bearsden Google

  • Flat roof on the kitchen extension started dripping during a downpour. They came out in the rain, patched it and stopped the water, then came back and put EPDM over the whole thing.

    Margaret K., Shawlands Google

  • New guttering and fascias the full length of the house. Old timber was rotten behind the boards, which they showed me before touching it. Tidy job and the price did not move.

    Tom R., Bishopbriggs Google

  • Chimney stack was shedding mortar onto the pavement. Repointed, new flaunching, cowls on both pots, lead tray at the base. Explained every step and left the close spotless.

    Aileen D., Partick Google

  • Two slipped slates and a cracked ridge after the January storms. Fixed the same week, matched the slate, and the written quote came before anyone went up a ladder.

Step one

Nobody prices a roof from the pavement. We get up and look.

Every job starts with a no-obligation survey and no deposit. We get on the roof, look at the slates or tiles, the ridges and valleys, the lead at the chimney and the abutments, the gutters and the fascia behind them, and where there is loft access we check the felt and battens from inside. What we find is photographed.

Then you get the photographs and a plain description: what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is fine. On a shared tenement roof the report is written so it can be passed round the close or to a factor. That is true of every roofing service we offer, from a single slipped slate to a full re-roof.

  • Slates, tiles, ridges and valleys checked
  • Lead at the chimney and abutments
  • Gutters and the fascia behind them
  • Felt and battens from inside where possible

Step two

One price, in writing. Before anything starts.

The price goes in writing after the survey, itemised, so you can see what it covers and what it does not. It is the price you were given unless we open up the roof and find something the survey could not see, and then we stop, show you, and put the extra in writing before carrying on. Nobody is pressed for a decision on the doorstep.

Materials are matched to the roof: slate to slate, tile to tile, proper lead where lead belongs, EPDM on the flat sections. All of it is weather-resistant and warranty-backed, and the warranty terms sit in your paperwork with the quote. The same firm does the survey, the work and the sign-off across the areas we cover, Glasgow and the towns around it.

  • Itemised quote, valid as written
  • Extras agreed in writing before the work
  • Slate matched to slate, tile to tile
  • Warranty terms in the paperwork

What you are agreeing to

Plain terms, plain privacy.Written down, not remembered.

The details you send us are used to answer you and to book the survey, and for nothing else; the full statement is in our privacy policy. What a quote commits each of us to, and what a warranty does and does not cover, is set out in our terms of business.

If that is the kind of roofer you want, send the job and the postcode through the contact page and we will book the survey. If you would rather see the work first, the photographs and the reviews are on the front page, above the services.

Start here

Tell us where the roof is.That is the whole first step.

Postcode first. Then a name and how to reach you. We reply, book the survey, and the price follows in writing. No phone calls you did not ask for.

  • A reply, not a sales call
  • Price in writing first
  • No deposit for surveys
  • Written warranty
