Wet patch back after every downpour?Find the fault, fix it once.
Slipped slates, cracked tiles, a silted valley, lead that has lifted. A roofer looks at the whole roof before anything is priced, then the repair goes in writing. Send us the postcode and we will book the survey.
Moss was sliding off our tenement roof into the gutters every winter. They cleared the lot, took the gutters back to clean metal and treated the slates. First dry close in years.

Lead flashing round the chimney on our slate roof had lifted and the bedroom ceiling was marking. Surveyed it, priced it in writing, redressed the lead properly. No drama, no upsell.
Craig B., Bearsden Google
Flat roof on the kitchen extension started dripping during a downpour. They came out in the rain, patched it and stopped the water, then came back and put EPDM over the whole thing.
Margaret K., Shawlands Google
New guttering and fascias the full length of the house. Old timber was rotten behind the boards, which they showed me before touching it. Tidy job and the price did not move.
Tom R., Bishopbriggs Google
Chimney stack was shedding mortar onto the pavement. Repointed, new flaunching, cowls on both pots, lead tray at the base. Explained every step and left the close spotless.
Aileen D., Partick Google
Two slipped slates and a cracked ridge after the January storms. Fixed the same week, matched the slate, and the written quote came before anyone went up a ladder.

What we look for
The leak is rarely where the water shows. We find the start.
Water tracks. A stain on a bedroom ceiling can start at a cracked ridge tile three metres away, a valley full of moss, or flashing that has pulled away from the chimney. The survey walks the roof, checks the felt and battens from inside where there is loft access, and photographs what it finds.
You get the photographs and a plain description of what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is fine. Then the price goes in writing. Nobody prices a Glasgow roof from the pavement, and we do not price one from a photo either, because that is how we work on every roof.
Slipped, cracked or missing slates and tiles
Ridge, hip and valley failures
Lead flashing that has lifted or split
Felt and batten condition under the covering
How the repair runs
Matched materials, tidy work.Watertight before we leave.
Slate is matched to slate and tile to tile, so the repair carries the same weight and reads the same from the street. Broken pieces come out, sound ones stay, and the fixings are replaced rather than reused. Where the felt has gone under a patch, it is renewed before the covering goes back.
The work is photographed again when it is finished, so you can see the repair without climbing a ladder. The materials are warranty-backed and the terms sit in your paperwork with the quote. If water is coming in right now, an emergency roofer makes the roof safe and dry first and the proper repair is priced after.
Where we work
Glasgow first. Then every town the rain reaches.
The city and the towns around it, north and south of the Clyde. If yours is not on the list, send us the postcode and we will tell you straight.
Eight more roofing services.Same firm, same method.
A repair often shows up something else on the roof. These are the other jobs we do, and every roofing service we offer starts the same way: survey first, then the price in writing.
Guttering & Fascias
Rotten fascia boards, sagging gutters and soffits that let the birds in, fixed as one run of roofline. We replace fascias and guttering together so the brackets hold and the water goes down the pipe.
Lifted lead flashing round chimneys, valleys and abutments is where most Glasgow leaks start. We strip the old lead work, dress new lead properly and seal the joint so the ceiling stays dry.
Ponding felt, blistered seams and a flat roof that drips in a downpour. We repair what can be saved and lay EPDM rubber roofing over what cannot, with the edges detailed for the rain.
Slate or tile pitched roofing, repaired or replaced to match the street and carry the weight properly. Ridge, hip and valley work done in the same job, with the felt and battens checked underneath.
One roofing contractor for the full re-roof: strip, timber checks, felt, battens, new slates or tiles and the leadwork. Scaffold is sorted, the site is kept tidy and the price is fixed in writing.
Moss holds water against the slates and slides into the gutters every winter. Roof moss removal lifts it off by hand, clears the gutters and treats the roof so it stays off for far longer.
Loose pots, crumbling mortar and damp on the chimney breast mean the stack needs looking at. Chimney repair covers repointing, new flaunching, cowls and lead, or taking the stack down cleanly.
Storm damage, a leak coming through the ceiling or slates hanging over the pavement. An emergency roofer makes it safe and stops the water first, then the full repair is priced in writing.
Tell us where the roof is.That is the whole first step.
Postcode first. Then a name and how to reach you. We reply, book the survey, and the price follows in writing. No phone calls you did not ask for.

Straight answers
Asked on mostGlasgow roofs.
If your question is not here, send it through the contact page and we will answer it about your roof rather than roofs in general. The longer answers, with the reasons behind them, live in our roofing guides.
01How do you find where a roof leak is coming from?
We survey the whole roof rather than the spot above the stain, because water tracks along slates, felt and timbers before it shows inside. Ridges, valleys, flashings and the felt under the covering are all checked and photographed, and the report tells you exactly which one is letting the water in.
02Do you price a roof repair before you have seen it?
No. Every repair starts with a no-obligation survey and the price goes in writing after it. A price from a photo or a phone call is a guess, and a guess gets revised once someone is on the roof. Ours is the price you were given, unless we open up the roof and find something the survey could not see, in which case we stop and show you first.
03Can you repair a slate roof without replacing it?
Usually, yes. Most slate roofs in Glasgow fail one slate, one valley or one flashing at a time, and those are repaired with matched slate and new fixings. If the survey finds the nails have rotted across the whole roof, the honest answer is a re-roof, and we say so rather than patching something that will be back next winter; the re-roof is then priced as a pitched roofing job with the slates matched to the street.
04What if the repair needs more work than the quote covered?
We stop, show you what we have found, and put the extra in writing before carrying on. The written quote covers the work described in it, and you decide on anything beyond that with the photographs in front of you.
05Do you repair tenement roofs with shared owners?
Yes. Tenement roofs are shared between owners, so the survey report is written to be passed round the close or to a factor, and the quote is itemised for the same reason. We are used to one owner starting the conversation and the rest joining once they have seen the photographs.
06Which areas do you cover for roof repairs?
Glasgow and the towns around it: Rutherglen, Bishopbriggs, Bearsden, Giffnock, Renfrew, Cambuslang, Clarkston, Milngavie, Clydebank, Kirkintilloch, Newton Mearns, Paisley and the places between, each listed with its distance from the city under the areas we cover. Put your postcode in the quote form and we will confirm.
